I often describe this podcast to friends as being almost in real time (as in, each monthly episode advances Napoleon’s life by about one month). That might sound like a drag, but Everett is masterful at pacing and hitting just the right amount of detail to keep this narrative fresh and interesting. I expect to be listening for years to come!

Like I did, just went through and I am up to Blood of the Empeoror. You only think you know Napoleon. Very detailed, lots of explanation. Good narrative. And honestly, I can't think of anyone - maybe James Early but not even - who does battles better than Everett. I had no map and he Explained Austrelitz, the rights and lefts the russians the Austrians, the would-be Prussians.
