Have you ever felt the stress and pressure of a Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis flare up with symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea, all happening while trying to grin and bear it running the carpool, packing lunches, and doing your best to make the recitals and soccer games?

You’re not alone. Having lived with Crohn’s for over 30 years (raising kids for 18 of those years), I’ve seen the impact of IBD on my ability to feel like a successful mom. The Cheeky Podcast is our chance to finally take back control as we go on a wellness journey together to find health and get back to motherhood, by whatever means works for us. It’s a place where we can explore how diet, lifestyle, mindset, and even medicine when necessary, can work together to help us heal and thrive again.

I’m Karyn Haley, IBD Health Coach and integrative wellness expert with a Master’s degree in Counseling. Each week on the podcast, we’ll dive into strategies, step by step plans, and hacks to make your IBD mom life easier and healthier. We’ll get up close and personal with the Specific Carbohydrate and other gut healing diets. We’ll get real about our fears and worries surrounding our kid’s health. We’ll talk about this invisible illness that we don’t have the opportunity to live out in the open, and yes, we’ll talk about our poop too. We’ll even find the humor and grace in all of this madness.

This is your safe space to finally hang out with your own IBD mom tribe and have conversations you aren’t comfortable having with anyone else. Welcome home, let’s start this healing journey together.

What an incredible resource

All I can say is wow. This podcast is full of resources. I don’t have Crohn’s or IBD but I do have celiac, and just listening to a few episodes has helped me in my own journey.

Love the Cheeky podcast! Karyn has the perfect blend of attitude, a little sassy a little cheeky, but mixed with gratitude for her own life journey and a willingness to share her experience and expertise in relatable, understandable bits that make the information really stick for me. Information is Power!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Karyn as I started the SCD. She is a wealth of information BUT she is super skilled at breaking it down into bite size chunks. She is a great teacher and encourager without being too pushy or overbearing in her opinions. She will tell you the facts and let you decide what will work for you on your IBD journey.

This podcast is a great tool as it take a holistic approach to IBD physical, mental, spiritual and emotional wellness topics are all covered here. It’s also easy to listen to as you cook or drive or exercise. Karyn has a great conversational quality to her shows!
