Very glad I started listening to this podcast, Kacey is a wonderful host. She asks all the questions I find myself wanting to ask so it feels like I’m in on the conversation. This is a wonderful show. Keep it ip!

I was raised in this miserable weird cult. At 59 years old, I can tell you almost all of the kids that grew up in this cult like myself are estranged from their parents, don’t go to any church or don’t speak to their siblings. POP used to be called “servants of the Lord” but they’ve scraped a lot of history from their webpage when the Amy Coney Barrett thing leaked but I was able to get a screenshot before that happened. I was interviewed by Stephen Hassan the cult expert which you can find on his website.

I’m so glad Season 2 has finally arrived! I listened to all of Season 1, and, despite the host/speaker’s humble assessment, I found her interviews and guests captivating…That said, Season 2 is even stronger, and her graduate study into cults surely yielded a lot of new insights and knowledge - a good thing for us listeners! Note: I love the low-key, yet high quality, production. No kitschy sound effects or booming “look at these weirdos” distant anthropology. People in cults are not, in general, low IQ dopes. There are people from all walks of life who can be enticed into them. And they can range from sprawling corporate-cults, to neighborhood clubs , to religious groups. And, I’d add, here in the US, political parties - cough, cough - maga/trumpism. All in all, a fascinating podcast, worth subscribing to and listening to.

Learn to fact check. So many lies in the episode that I’ve shared and my first hand stories in such deceitful ways. Not okay. Glad you got a story but as the sister of Madison Ryan she only tells lies. Our mother was never an addict. Shes tried so hard for Madison but she only wants attention. Madison has ruined every opportunity. Good job with that microphone 👏
