Do You Have Joy In Your Life? Meet Melissa Bloom of Joy School!

    “Joy is a Practice.”

This was such a great conversation with Melissa Bloom.

Her curiosity and intention to find joy is inspiring. Her belief in humanity more than despair…leaves room for hope and Joy.

Becoming aware is the first step! Then, realize that you get to decide and change your perception in order to see your world in a new way.

I appreciate that Melissa encourages us to make these changes incrementally, knowing that a “Practice” is something that does not happen overnight.

You can find out more about Melissa and Joy
    School on her Website.

Meet the Team of NHADACA's Credentialing Support Partnership

Meet the Team of NHADACA's Credentialing Support Partnership

The NH Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselors Association is excited to announce the launch of the Credentialing Support Partnership (CSP). The CSP partners with various NH substance use treatment programs, and other organizations that are providing substance use and co-occurring disorders treatment services, in order to provide support and ease burdens of the onsite clinical supervisor to advance licensure of clinicians.

Meet the program's team, Nick Pfeifer, Guy Torgerson, and Heather Smith as they present the Credentialing Support Partnership.

This program aims to expand behavioral health workforce capacity and access to evidenced-based treatment from licensed providers. Additionally, this program is a resource for answering questions related to all New Hampshire substance use credentials.  The CSP is designed to support LADC and MLADC licensure candidates by providing the necessary supervision and other supports (skill building, mentoring, coaching, etc.) to participants as you work towards successful completion and obtain licensure.

Some of the benefits of working with the Credentialing Support Partnership include:

2 hours of virtual supervision, including both individual and group formats
Access to trainings through the NH Training Institute on Addictive Disorders
Direct guidance and support with the application process for the LADC or MLADC
    Support with IC&RC exam preparation
Scholarship opportunities for additional trainings and workshops
Education specific to maintaining your license once you complete the initial process
    No cost to participate!

What is the process for enrolling?

Contact us via phone or email (credentialing@nhadaca.org)
    Complete an Application Form
Complete required paperwork with the agency/organization in which you work

While not all applicants will be approved for the program, those that are selected will meet with a staff member to fully enroll in the program.  Program enrollment includes pre-involvement survey questions, various forms, discussions with the participant as well as the participant’s work-site supervisor(s). Upon successful enrollment, you will begin your process of supervision, guidance and mentorship toward licensure as a New Hampshire LADC or MLADC.
