    Special Update: My December Oasis

    Special Update: My December Oasis

Thank you for supporting my show through this last season! This is a quick update to let you know I’m going into my December Oasis, where I take a one-month break. During December, there won't be any new episodes. We’ll kick things back into gear for season three in January.

In my book, The Power of Having Fun, I introduce the concept of an Oasis. In short, it’s critical to your productivity to have regular breaks from work.

Here’s how you can create a recurring Oasis pattern in your schedule.

    1.     Start small. Try creating a finish line in your day and commit to stop working after that time.
    2.     Extend the length of your break. Schedule just one day to do nothing but rest and relax.
    3.     Plan ahead of time. Schedule a longer vacation, perhaps a week, months in advance so you can prepare and be ready to enjoy it.

If you have comments about the show, or suggestions for an excellent future guest, please drop us an email at listen@successproject.show. I would love to hear from you!

I look forward to sharing more successful journeys and actionable tips with you next season.

Passive Income and Expenses - The Crenshaw Family

Passive Income and Expenses - The Crenshaw Family

Join my family as we discuss the success principle of passive income and expenses. Together, my kids and I define how our attention connects to income and expenses. We discuss why understanding both concepts is an important aspect of balanced success.

We discuss the myth of passive income and how low-attention income is the true goal. And then, we share various ideas to create low-attention income, as well as different kinds of passive expenses to look out for in the future.

    Action Principle

Find a low-attention income source. Low attention income can help supplement your primary source of income and help you find a healthy work-life balance. ACTION: Schedule time to think about low-attention income sources that might work for you.Minimize passive expenses. Passive expenses will slowly eat away at your budget with little to no return. ACTION: Schedule time to review your passive expenses and determine which ones no longer fit your needs.
