Erin Andrews, driven to succeed in and out of her comfort zone

Erin Andrews, Fox sports sideline reporter for the NFL, joins Craig on the season final of the Full 60. Craig and Erin covered the Atlanta Thrashers together back in the early 2000's and used to binge watch the OC together with Craig's wife on Thrasher off nights, so this was a bit of a reunion podcast for the two of them. Andrews discusses her start in the broadcasting industry, and how her father Steve is her inspiration in getting into the business. She also addresses her friendship with John Tortorella, and how much he means to her as he helped teach her the game of hockey, and the right questions to ask, when she covered the Lightning in Tampa Bay. Erin looks back on when she met her husband, Stanley Cup Champion Jarret Stoll during the lockout in 2013, ahead of the Kings 2nd Cup win in 2014, and the tight bond that the players and the families still have today. Erin promotes her Wear by Erin Andrews team apparel association with the NHL, which was announced last week. Craig does a great job in this interview eliciting insight into the philosophy and approach to owning and managing an NHL team. Craig uses his disarming style to get candid and thoughtful answers to important questions. It’s also clear that Dundon has learned and refined his approach during his time in the NHL. Good stuff!

Blah diddly

First of all, I have to say that the song you play for the intro and outro sets the mood for the show n it’s perfect because Craig’s voice is one of the easiest to listen to from any podcast (and I listen to a lot). Secondly, this was the best I’ve heard from Greg because there was no overdone reactions except maybe one and none of his horrid ear stabbing impersonations that are so far off and I wish I never had to hear again (but Im a masochist apparently and enjoy the hockey content). Emily is always a pleasure to listen to and Dom is a lot wittier than I usually catch on to. Overall great podcast and please keep it up!

I have enjoyed Craig’s work for a long time. Now he has established a very high bar for himself with his interview of SI’s Michael Farber! And the show with Rick Dudley may have been the most informative and funny I have ever heard. The Full :60 is never a waste of time!
