We’re Greg Wyshynski of ESPN, Sean "Down Goes Brown" McIndoe of The Athletic and Ryan Lambert of Yahoo Sports and this is a hockey podcast, in the sense that we talk about hockey, both on the ice and about fan culture. That’s the “puck.” This is also a podcast about movies, TV, fast food, life lessons and general idiocy. That’s the “soup.” Unless you ordered the minestrone.

Not a good hockey pod

Wanted to like this pod but Greg is truly just a putz. The mockery of Bettmann, Crosby, Babcock etc. is funny for 30 seconds not every episode. Good pod for those who want to hear about fortnite and nhl ref conspiracy theories, terrible for those who want actual nhl content, game analysis, predictions, etc.

One of my favorite podcasts

I loved the original incarnation of the show with Greg and Dave, so I was a little worried about the change initially. Fortunately, Ryan and Sean have been great additions and I still look forward to the show every week. Though, I may be a little biased as I loved Biscuits, too. Also, I find Sean’s voice really soothing. So much so that I listened to the audiobook for his History of the NHL book instead of reading the hard copy, which I usually never do. It was fantastic. I could listen to Sean read the NHL rulebook and it would be awesome.

Anyway, I really enjoy Puck Soup and the balance of hockey/pop culture content. The Patreon extras are great too and worth the money. Still hoping they’ll eventually do a review of one those hockey romance books like they talked about last year 🤞🏻

Love The New Additions

Longtime listener, first time commentor. but I really do enjoy this Triforce of hosts. you all play off eachother very well and the varying opinions on numerous topics provide a fantastic listening experience. I wish Dave Lozo all the best and stuff, but I'm really glad not to have to hear his deep sighs over every subject and forced negativity about hockey.... and no more Friends references... also Greg, dood, your Bettman impression is stellar. I'm pretty sure I say "cost certainty" or "Seattle? doesnt that belong on a horse?" at least once a day. thanks you guys and the people behind the scenes that make this pod so awesome
