The goal of the podcast is to discover the motivations and methodologies of these unique individuals in order to satisfy and arouse curiosity among members of the public who have an interest in this area of discussion.

    Matthew Williams “Sobriety and Entrepreneurship”

    Matthew Williams is the founder of the FROPRO snack bar company that he co-owns and manages with his wife Chelsea. Matt also works as an addiction recovery coach with Next Level Recovery Associates. He has a diverse background as an educator and personal trainer. He holds two master’s degrees (Counseling and Education). On this episode, Matt and I discuss the ins and outs of recovery, entrepreneurship and life balance. The Good Counsel Podcast is an exploration into the world of helping professionals from various disciplines and walks of life. The goal of the podcast is to discover the motivations and methodologies of these unique individuals in order to satisfy and arouse curiosity among members of the public who have an interest in this area of discussion. The intention of the Podcast is to incorporate a definition of ‘helping professional’ that is diverse. Good Counsel Podcast interviewees will include Psychotherapists, Medical Professionals, Life Coaches, Interventionists, Spiritual Healers, Substance Use Disorder Treatment Professionals and Educators amongst others, in order to capture a broad range of disciplines.     Tanya Brown Part 2; "Beyond the Tabloids, The Healing Journey Begins"

    This episode of Good Counsel, The Helping People’s Podcast is the second of a two part series documenting the mental health recovery journey of Tanya Brown. Tanya is a life coach, grief recovery specialist, author and mental health advocate. She is also the youngest sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, victim of the most publicized violent crime of the 20th Century.     Alison Vanhorn “Human Trafficking and the Opioid Crisis”

    Alison is the Clinical Supervisor at Caron Renaissance, a treatment facility for substance misuse and mental health disorders treatment. In this episode, Alison shares her personal experience as a victim or human trafficking and her extensive volunteer work with the FBI and the Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force in Philadelphia, where she participated in a national initiative to raise awareness about addiction and human sex trafficking in 2018. Alison was keynote speaker at the Buck’s Coalition Against Trafficking conference in PA in 2018. She was also featured in an FBI public education video production wherein she shares her personal ordeal as a survivor of human trafficking. The audio is depicted in this episode. Today, John serves as the National Director of Business Development at Futures Recovery Healthcare, where he and his team help individuals and families navigate their way into recovery from substance use disorders and mental health challenges. John has worked in the field of behavioral healthcare since 2009. He previously served as the Director of Admissions for the Caron Foundation and Family First Adolescent Services. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree in social work and MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
