    I also chat about how our lives has recently changed in terms of daily routines and how that affects eating schedules.  In that, I share some tips for quick, easy meals - even when you may be eating alone. (And the upside of that - if you choose to view it that way.)

    And I share what it actually takes to successfully drop that stubborn fat despite the hormone changes and metabolic struggles of menopause. 

    There's certainly a nuance to doing it in a healthy way that lasts because it's much more complex than "calories in, calories out."

    Listen in as Gwen explains how and why it took strategy and support to help her lose over 100 lbs in 10 months! 

    Gwen was one of my first clients almost 10 years ago.  In her early 60s, she started her weight loss and health journey when she thought she was "too old" and it was "too late."
    She'd lost weight many times previously on her own. You'll hear how she was the "lady of a 1000 diets."  So she didn't think she needed help.
    In fact, I invited her into coaching many times and each time she said, "I know how to eat healthy and walking always works for me to lose weight."
    But this time... It didn't work.
    As her health declined, Gwen knew she had to lose weight and this time... Keep it off. 

    I'm excited to share this episode with you because she did just that - losing 100 pounds and keeping it off now for nearly 10 years. 
    But I'm also proud to share this episode because Gwen is my mom, and this is a story of how she let me help her save her life.

    Even when we manage ALL of these challenges, that doesn't mean they completely go away - especially the emotional stuff.

    Summer is fun!

    We look forward to the warmer temps, vacations to the beach, and weekend or longer lake trips.  And with those travels, many of you have concerns about "busting the diet" and gaining weight. 
    I get it!  It's a struggle I had for years.  And it's something I help clients in our 12 week MRS program solve.  
    In today’s episode, I share how I eat while on vacation and give you tips for how you can stay on track with your body, weight loss, and mindset goals and STILL enjoy summer travels.  
    So you don’t have to wait until after vacation to start making progress. And you most certainly don’t have to gain weight or feel bloated after summer trips.

The best

I can relate to Lori’spodcast, because I feel she is talking directly to me. However she makes me think about why I do the things I do, and challenges me to be a better version of myself.

I Am Hooked!

Just a few minutes into episode one, I knew that this was the podcast for me, and any other woman experiencing menopausal weight gain and the myriad of other symptoms. Lori is down to earth, clear and concise, and it feels like you’re listening to your girlfriend give you great advice. I listened to all of the episodes back to back to get a feel for what more is in store. Lori talks about mindset and how it applies to your overall health and wellness in addition to many other topics, relevant to middle aged women 40 and over. Looking forward to the next episodes!
