75 - Auli Mantila in Uusimaa, Finland
Auli Mantila started her hoof-care career a bit later than most do, and her commutes to farrier school actually inspired her to create something in her other profession - which is a very unusual one for a farrier! I won’t spoil it, listen to the podcast to find out what it is.
We also discuss Finn horses, and shoeing in sub zero temperatures, with horses that can have frozen hooves and an inch of snow on them, plus many other interesting parts of being a farrier in Finland.

74 - Ramon Batalla in San José, Costa Rica
After seeing his presentations at the IHCS 2023, I had to get an interview with Costa Rican vet-farrier Ramon Batalla. In this episode we talk about radiography and venograms in hoof-care, as well as some great personal insights and stories from his life in the industry.

Not what I was looking for
This podcast appears to be a compilation of life experiences of different farriers, which in of itself is fine, but was not what i was looking for. I was exited for episode 2 hoping it would go into details about the hoof and hoof care instead was details on how he wrote the book not about the stuff inside it. Good for what it is and I’ll maybe enjoy it once I become a farrier but for starting out it’s not what I need.
