I created this podcast address a gap... to help people who are after real talk.
This is not just about latest drum news and licks and chops. Here you will find concepts and ideas that can transform your drumming life, help you not only improve your speed of learning, but help you to feel music more and connect to it.

The 4 keys to building the habit of playing drums everyday (even if you haven't practised in weeks)
This podcast is a summary of what I have learned from two of my favourite books of all time on habit building... And from years now of obsessively trying to understand and help all my students build positive habits of drum practise.
I have helped students with all manner of neurological challenges and strengths and weaknesses by using these principles.
Originally I became obsessed with this topic due to my own large dificiencies in this area.
I have what I you could call and obsessive personality... So I get hooked in on things hard... But can also easily get dragged in to new activities and lose sight of precious habits.
These days I have a deep control over this that means I can be self employed and show up to all activities that I need to including my own daily practice regimen.
My goal with this podalcast is that it helps you find new and effective evidence based approaches to navigate your own challenges and get and stay on track with your drumming goals while having the time of your life.
Happy drumming! 😁 Matt

Very informative and helpful
Returning to the drums after many years, I found this podcast and it has resurrected forgotten knowledge that I had, and introduced me to new things! This is the best drumming podcast that I’ve found so far. I hope he continues it for a long, long time.
