CPTSD survivor

Thank you so much for everything you do to help survivors. I have been trying to find a community in social media since Twitter began. For awhile when Metoo & Harvey arrived I found it. Didn’t last long. Your Voice on the podcast What Came Next made me cry for hours. I am a 55yr old survivor of CSA at the hands of my father from age 5 is my first memory 2 is what he confessed to in a stack of papers he wrote to the judge thinking it would “explain” why he was not responsible for a crime that was also committed against him. I sat in that court room at 32yrs of age. Sitting next to me was his last victim & her little brother. Ages 5, 3. My father confessed to CSA Rape going back to Vietnam when he was in the Army. Including but not in his confession my 2 little brothers, 3 cousins, my neighbor friends. The most devastating for me My brothers 2 children. I tried to stop my sister in law from letting my father live with them. Thankfully the Judge was a good guy. My father was sentenced to life no parole no outside contact. I have been in therapy since I was 17. I have many gaps in my memory. But I keep moving forward with trauma because I refuse to let it get me. GROOMING is a hideous MONSTER so many people don’t realize & hearing your family’s story, your story, I don’t know how to thank you for sharing it. You are a true Heroine 🦋 LM
