    The 30 Year Old Letter: Grief in Plastic Wrap...

    A young boy who lost his mother wrote her a letter and put it on her grave. Over time, he retrieved it for safekeeping and placed it in a box for over 30 years. In this first episode of the Loss Library podcast, host Garrett Drew Ellis opens the letter he wrote to his mother so long ago. This episode is the first of many telling stories of grief, loss and resiliency in the face of bereavement. Listen as Garrett shares his story and talks about not only the need for coping mechanisms as a person grieves, but for spaces like the Loss Library to exist, so that all people can mourn, grow and both find and offer, encouragement. My name is Garrett Drew Ellis and I want to welcome you to the Loss Library, a human library of grief experience and a podcast dedicated too accompanying you on your journey through loss and end of life.  The Loss Library is my attempt to curate a collection of stories and interviews that will help all individuals answer these important questions, questions centered around how to live and thrive in grief. In this trailer, you are not only introduced to the library, but the things that you can expect from each Season/Book and each Episode/Chapter. As the library grows and as you learn to live and thrive in your grief, it is always my hope that you would find peace for today, ease for your pain, and grace for your journey.
