With mental illness, the spouse often gets left with the burdens of the family, and is left very isolated. All the support can go to the spouse with the disorder, when we as the partner, need just as much love, understanding, and support. This podcast is my way of trying to provide a small piece of that, and to share each other's stories and offer helpful advice, support, and community.

Thank you!

Your message and support has been a God kiss! My husband of 44 years has lived with bipolar for at least 30 years that we know. I didn’t understand what was happening until 10years ago. He absolutely refused seeing a doctor. He has just started counseling and has a diag of bipolar 1, but is still med resistant. Your info helps me better understand my role in his journey.

So needed!

I hope you’ll keep up with the podcast as much as possible, Em! It is so easy to feel isolated and misunderstood. No one’s struggle is exactly the same, but it is so refreshing not to feel abandoned.

Love this! So helpful!

I just found this podcast and listened to the first two episodes. It is wonderful to hear of Em’s experiences with her spouse and mental health struggles. It strikes a real chord with me and helps me know that I am not the only one struggling. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this podcast with us.
