Join Michelle and Lindsay as they chat weekly on all manner of things that pertain to and may interest the Modern Lady. From books to food to current lifestyle trends and issues, they will explore what it means to be a true lady in today's world!
Make 'Em Laugh!
Having a light-hearted disposition and a sense of humour can significantly impact your day to day life... for the better! This week, Michelle and Lindsay discuss the benefits of an intentional life lived lightly and how to cultivate such a perspective right away!
The Necessity of Momento Mori
"Momento Mori" is a Latin saying which translates to, "Remember Your Death". To our secular and modern minds, this is a jarring and uncomfortable clarion call to be sure, but it is one that we neglect at our own peril. This week, Michelle and Lindsay discuss how people have historically practiced "Momento Mori", how it ties into Lent and Ash Wednesday, and why it's necessary for us to remind ourselves often of the inevitability of our deaths.
Loving the Skin You're In
The French have a saying: "Être Bien Dans Sa Peau!", which means "to feel comfortable in one's own skin". This is a topic that sparked a variety of conversations about how we truly see ourselves. This week, Michelle and Lindsay chat about some of these aspects: from monitoring your inner critic to embracing the aging process, to how millennial girls may be onto something and how ultimately your dignity and worth go far beyond the trends "du jour".
Musings on Everyday Little Luxuries
"Every day is a special occasion!" After all, you woke up this morning, didn't you? This week, Michelle and Lindsay muse about and counter common protests against a practice that may seem difficult as mid-winter looms before us: that is, finding joy and anticipation in our own homes through the little luxuries we find all around us!
Nixing The Blame Game
Pointing fingers and casting blame seems to be commonplace in our culture today - especially online. But playing the blame game does more than just make us downcast and inefficient. This week, Michelle and Lindsay chat about where blame is appropriate, why eventually we need to decide to do something about the challenges we face and where personal responsibility fits in to all of this!

A gift to homemakers
I’m so grateful that I found this podcast! Michelle and Lindsay do a great job of discussing the joy and dignity of being a homemaker/mother. As a Catholic first-time mother, I have related to and learned from pretty much every topic they have discussed! Even those who aren’t Catholic will enjoy this podcast because it’s so practical and fun. Lindsay and Michelle are light-hearted and honest, and they are always thinking of interesting topics to discuss.
I’m so glad I found this podcast. I’ll be honest, when I first started listening I immediately fell into the bottomless “comparison” pit. I often pull the plug on anything that does that to my mental health but I gave it a few extra shots because I like these women, and the idea of shaping my daughters into modern ladies. Our world needs this message desperately for our girls. I have found that as I listen I am much more motivated to spend a little more time perfecting the little mundane things and it gives me a good feeling. Thank you ladies!
Such a treat!
I so look forward to your podcast! I have been listening for 2+ years. I heard about your podcast from another podcast which escapes me at the moment. I use to listen while driving all around Dallas, Texas with my young children and now I mainly listen while at home cleaning and cooking (homemaking). I love your rapport (y’all are so blessed to have each other), I learn so much from the interesting historical facts at the beginning and feel like I have heard the podcast change/ deepen a bit given our present times. I especially appreciated and was moved by Lindsay’s amazing testimony and experience with the traditional Latin Mass. Thank you and prayers for you both, your podcast and families.
