New to the podcast, I love the guests and different perspectives given. Some topics feel a bit heavy, only recommendation would be to intersperse some fluffier topics for lack of a better word: travel, escapism, perhaps more on joie de vivre (that episode was great but only scratched the surface).

Lindsey Tramuta offers excellent real life insight into French culture (not just another Paris puff piece). I love reading her books and articles and having her in my ear for long walks. Highly recommend her work in any medium.

As an American living in France for just over a year, this podcast has been so helpful and appreciated. It’s hard to adapt to a new country and culture, there’s so much to learn! Lindsey’s podcast (and sub stack, and Instagram) has been a lifeline for me. It’s informative, fun, and relatable. My mom and I started listening to this podcast during the pandemic. We would listen to each episode and discuss over the phone to stay sane - keeping each other company and learning about so many fascinating topics related to Paris. It was a special way to connect with my mom and I am forever grateful for that! On top of the sentimental value, I learn something new with each episode - even when there’s an episode on a topic that is on its surface perhaps less interesting to me, I get drawn into the discussion and oftentimes come out on the other side loving those episodes the most. It centers important voices on social and artistic issues and has really broadened my own understanding of Paris as someone with family ties to France. Great discussions, great guests, all around a wonderful listen that is entertaining and educational!

I’ve been on a Francophile journey over the past year and I endlessly became frustrated by how so many design, fashion, interior, and lifestyle books and articles bowed down at the shrine of the French Girl trope. I’ve lived in a metropolitan city for most of my adult life and I know that all those books lacked authenticity and vibrancy of what makes up a city, let alone a country. It is refreshing to listen to The New Paris Podcast. It is swathed in reality with driving and important questions. The New Paris Podcast has easily become my favorite podcast and I eagerly await each episode.
