    Healing Math and Reading Wounds

    Healing Math and Reading Wounds

Let's talk about math! Neily Boyd, who reminds us in this episode that she and Albert Einstein are very different, but can both do fraction conversions without a calculator. Neily is a former math director and founder of Counting with Kids and she and Beth talk about... healing math and reading wounds? You'll hear their stories of how they both ended up in these fields- spoiler alert: it wasn't by being good at either of these subjects!

We'll talk about how to help your kids in the early years but also a reminder that if you feel a certain way, it doesn't have to be this way for our kids and it doesn't have to be this way for us either.

You'll feel empowered as a parent and maybe meet an inner child to heal too... or maybe just us :)

Must listen

I started listening to this podcast when my kids entered kindergarten. It made me feel more involved in the way that they were learning how to read and allowed me to recognize some less than optimal strategies being employed in their classroom. I’ve been working with my kids using one of Miss Beth‘s online courses and have seen significant progress and feel confident knowing that I am helping to lay a strong foundation for how they learn to read.

So much great advice to help teach my kids!

I can’t like this podcast enough! There is so much great information to help me with my 6 and 4 year old. My 6 year old was struggling with reading and this has helped me navigate it and also keep him motivated to read.

Miss Beth is a favorite in our house!

I can’t even begin to say how incredibly grateful I am for Miss Beth!! She has always been a favorite follow of mine on Instagram and now I can listen to her podcast for more helpful ways to teach my children. Not only do I love her play on words podcast, but I have also purchased her learning to read program and swear by all of her reading tips and tricks. Whenever my children hear me listening to her podcast they yell “Miss Beth!” because they recognize her voice from her amazing learning to read videos. Please never stop! You are helping kids and families everyday.
