7 Tips Every HSP Needs to Know for a Refreshing Vacay

7 Tips Every HSP Needs to Know for a Refreshing Vacay

You have been planning this trip for months, you’re super excited for all the things…but within a few days you get sick and are totally knocked on your a$$.

This has been my experience all of my life with travel and vacation, and it wasn’t until I learned how to cater to my specific needs as a HSP and Empath that I hacked the code for wonderful, low stress vacations where I did NOT get sick and miss out, or have to travel home very ill indeed.

Just because you’re a Sensitive does NOT mean you are destined to be sick and miserable when you travel!

If you have trips planned for this year, you won’t want to miss today’s episode where I share how I utilized my “HSP travel secrets” on my recent vacation to the South by Southwest film and music festival in Austin, TX.

To practice the Centering and Grounding techniques I mentioned in today’s episode, receive your free gift of The Sensitive’s Guide to Thrive.

From School Teacher to Yoga Therapist; A Journey Home to Wholeness - with Nichola Day

From School Teacher to Yoga Therapist; A Journey Home to Wholeness - with Nichola Day

Have you ever had that Inner Knowing that it was time for a change? That you couldn’t, and didn’t have to, carry on with things as they were? Perhaps you are even sitting in this place now?

This was absolutely the experience of this weeks guest on the Sensitive Collective Podcast, Nichola Day, yoga teacher, therapist, writer, and speaker.

She went from a successful and stressful career as a Primary School Teacher in the UK, through many cycled loops of over-achieving, people pleasing, and burnout, to the realization that how she was showing up wasn’t sustainable - or even necessary.

While it was not an easy ride to step out of what she thought was going to be her life’s vocation, leaving a profession that didn’t work for her was a soul guided and empowering choice that has absolutely changed her life.

In this week's episode, Nichola shares her journey from sick and tired Primary School Teacher to Healthy and Empowered Yoga Therapist, how yoga supported her on this journey, the role our intuition plays in the evolution and healing of mind-body-spirit, and so much more.

Yoga has saved my life (no exaggeration) and been a safe place for me to return home to throughout my life. Of yoga, Nichola says:

“I want Yoga to be this space where people can access and nurture their power. When I roll out my mat it’s a sense of being home. And home is where you're safe to fully be yourself and come as you are. And that is what I try to create when I practice and teach yoga. A place to come home to. And that’s what Sensitives need.”

If you’ve ever struggled with people pleasing, over achieving, and burnout, and have thought about a change in career, then please join us and hear more about our own experiences with these, allowing them to shine a light on your own. I have a feeling some intuitive bells may sound for you as you listen!

Knowing the Difference Between Sensitivity and HYPERsensitivity Could Save Your Relationship

Knowing the Difference Between Sensitivity and HYPERsensitivity Could Save Your Relationship

You want to create grounded, more calm and peaceful relationships, but it feels like a struggle or even impossible.

You are tired of feeling like your Sensitivity is somehow responsible for the strife inside your relationships.

If this resonates, you could well be experiencing symptoms of unresolved trauma and hypersensitivity.

In this episode I talk about how (and why!) trauma shows up in your relationship dynamics, what hypersensitivity actually is, and why a holistic approach is so important in your healing process.

I hope this helps to support you in healing AND normalizes your experience! It’s not just you, this is the nitty gritty of healing and you are doing great even just being here to listen and learn.

If you are ready to get more personalized guidance and support in integrating these concepts and practices into your life, please book a Discovery Call with me so we can connect and feel into aligned action together.

    Are You Addicted to Love?

    Are You Addicted to Love?

Relationship is one of the biggest areas of struggle for HSP and Empaths, and this week's episode shines light on a very common issue that can often fly under the radar; Love Addiction.

Do you put your partner on a pedestal or overvalue them? Do you neglect yourself in your relationship? Do you seek unconditional love in your relationship? And if you don't get it, does that mean you feel like you’re not loved or lovable?

If any of this sounds at all familiar, you won't want to miss this week’s episode with Jodi White, a licensed therapist, coach and podcaster specializing in love addiction and supporting women in recovery from this often misunderstood attachment injury.

Jodi discusses her own history with love addiction on her podcast, Journals of a Love Addict, where she shares relatable personal stories, as well as conversations with experts and others who get it.

You can connect with Jodi on her website.

And here is the book on Boundaries, by Julianne Taylor Shore mentioned in the episode.

    The Sensitive’s Purpose Paradox

    The Sensitive’s Purpose Paradox

Have you been working in alignment with your purpose, putting in the energy and effort to follow your heart’s call to service, and are now finding yourself getting totally burnt out and even starting to see symptoms of dis-ease and dis-comfort surfacing?

You are not alone! It happens to SO many HSP and Empaths, and I call it the Sensitive’s Purpose Paradox.

In today’s episode I talk about what the purpose paradox is, why it happens, share some of my personal experience with it, and how we can work with it and through it to the other side.

This is the final tie-it-in-a-bow episode in the three part series I felt called to share around purpose.

Working with our purpose is coming up a lot right now in the collective energy/consciousness, and so I hope this series has felt supportive for you! Remember, you aren’t alone, healing isn’t linear, and you are doing the best you can, where you’re at, with what you’ve got. And I love you!

Please follow, like, and review the show so that more Sensitives like you can find the support they are searching for.
