The Video Archives Podcast with Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avary

FULL, AD FREE EPISODES ON PATREON.COM/VIDEOARCHIVES Quentin Tarantino & Roger Avary invite you to become a customer at Video Archives, the video store where it all began. Joined by their trusty producer Gala Avary, they’ll travel back in time to revisit old classics and discover new favorites, pulled from the thousands of actual VHS tapes that Quentin & Roger used to recommend to customers back in the day at the original Video Archives store in Manhattan Beach. From controversial James Bond films to surprising exploitation flicks, the Video Archives team will expose you to movies you didn't know you'd love, give awards to their favorites, and of course, rate the quality of the video transfer.

Listening to Tarantino talk about movies is my fav thing in this life. He is my movie GOD. (I also worship Trent Reznor and Bill Maher) I cannot wait to listen to this podcast! Tarantino wants his movies to bring people together old school. Like we did at movie stores and theaters. Just like Trent wants for music! Remember when he made everyone buy concert tickets at a box office? So fans could meet each other! I wish so much I lived by one of your movie theaters. I want to be in your club!! I already give this all the stars! I can’t wait to hear it!!!

A pay wall? I would be game if it was just Quentin. Roger Avary and his obnoxious millennial daughter Gala (Pronounced the annoying way) are just waaay too pretentious to justify paying for this podcast. And who still lives with their parents at 30? Coddled much? And I won’t watch most of these movies either. I wanna hear Q talk about Rolling Thunder and The Street Fighter & A Better Tomorrow. Not George C Scott movies. I guess those conversations are only on PAYtreon. Total bait and switch. Too bad
Paywall??

I consume a lot of podcasts on a weekly basis, the ones that I grow quite fond of I’m happy to support on Patreon, however, I can’t support this show which throughout season one had plenty of advertisements laced through each episode. The idea that you would lock season 2 behind a paywall is very disappointing. I would submit to you that if you offered quality bonus content on your Patreon that you would see an above average retention rate from your dedicated listeners including myself. The idea of being able to interact with Quentin and Roger through Patreon would be enough for someone like myself to subscribe, but the decision to throw season two exclusive to Patreon is a bridge too far for me. Good luck with the podcast, and I hope you will consider reversing course at some point down the road.
