    “The functional freeze is so deep and many of you are living your life in this functional freeze and this red light that I was showing earlier, and you don't realize how bad it is getting and you don't realize how much damage it is doing to your body. And there is this theme of this nervous system desiring intensity, the stress chemistry because it momentarily turns on their brain and moves them out of the shutdown. I'm gonna say this again in a different way, it's called a functional freeze.”

    “Give yourself permission to explore, give yourself permission to ask questions and be curious about why am I feeling this way? Why am I trying to be perfect at all time, I'd have all this five different things, which one resonates with me the most is a fear of failure, is it low self worth is a need to for control, external validation, or some childhood trauma or any trauma that you've experienced in the past. So ask yourself, if you find yourself being perfect, trying to be perfect, which is causing the procrastination and the overwhelm, and you're putting your dreams on hold. Because quite awkward, you're trying to be perfect, right? There is a hidden feeling and trauma that you need to work on. You need to explore that. And when you start exploring these feelings and getting to the root cause of what you are experiencing, this is where everything shifts.”

Inspired to take month of August off!

I just listened to the episode with Kelly Roach and enjoyed hearing how we can take steps to prevent entrepreneurial burnout.

I’m most inspired by hearing how Dr. Christine and Kelly both added intentional time off in the month of August to recharge.

I’m Greek American and back in my “single girl days”, while vacationing in Greece in the summer, I was always amazed how culturally acceptable it is for everyone there to take August off. I never imagined myself building it into my life as well. As an entrepreneur, health coach, and mom, I’m inspired to do so!

This podcast is a wonderful space for hearing the stories of inspirational people that give me reason to keep going as I build my practice (and ideal life).
