Her work fills in the gaps left by immigrant upbringings and western psychology. She is the founder of the group practice: Noor Therapy and Wellness through which she and her team offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy.     “The functional freeze is so deep and many of you are living your life in this functional freeze and this red light that I was showing earlier, and you don't realize how bad it is getting and you don't realize how much damage it is doing to your body. And there is this theme of this nervous system desiring intensity, the stress chemistry because it momentarily turns on their brain and moves them out of the shutdown. I'm gonna say this again in a different way, it's called a functional freeze.”

Inspired to take month of August off!

I just listened to the episode with Kelly Roach and enjoyed hearing how we can take steps to prevent entrepreneurial burnout.

I’m most inspired by hearing how Dr. Christine and Kelly both added intentional time off in the month of August to recharge.

I’m Greek American and back in my “single girl days”, while vacationing in Greece in the summer, I was always amazed how culturally acceptable it is for everyone there to take August off. I never imagined myself building it into my life as well. As an entrepreneur, health coach, and mom, I’m inspired to do so!

This podcast is a wonderful space for hearing the stories of inspirational people that give me reason to keep going as I build my practice (and ideal life).
