The rollercoaster of $800K/year to $0?! Savannah Chrisley reveals the impact of parent’s prison sentence, the wild numbers behind reality TV, prioritizing mental health, and keeping her faith

The rollercoaster of $800K/year to $0?! Savannah Chrisley reveals the impact of parent’s prison sentence, the wild numbers behind reality TV, prioritizing mental health, and keeping her faith

This week, Jason is joined by entrepreneur, real estate agent, podcast host, and reality TV star, Savannah Chrisley!

Over the past 10 years, Savannah and her family gained recognition for their rapid success from their hit reality show, Chrisley Knows Best, with over 200 episodes and several successful spinoffs including Growing Up Chrisley, which featured Savannah and her brother as the stars of the show. Since then, Savannah leveraged her reality TV success with various entrepreneurial endeavors, including starting her own personal beauty brand, hosting her own podcast, and starting her own luxury reality company in Nashville. Although her career accolades have proven Savannah’s ability to succeed in whatever she puts her mind to, she has to endure it all through unique personal struggles from those close to her, including her parents being sent to prison for tax evasion and the tragic passing of her ex-fiancé.

Savannah gives insight to how her life could be adapted into a Lifetime movie, starting on reality TV at age 15, how mental health should be prioritized and reform for minors in the entertainment industry, what negotiating looked like with family, the difference in pay between the two shows, how she spent her money in her late teens/early twenties, how the family was able to utilize their leverage with the network due to the value they brought, and how the show was impacted after her parents were found guilty at trial. Savannah also reveals how honesty and transparency allowed her to thrive, how she looks at money at this current moment, how her dad’s former business partner played a critical role in the trial, how complex the case against her parents was,  advocating their innocence, the biggest takeaways she has learned from the entire court cases, getting into politics from a people perspective about the broken prison system, and the role her faith plays in her daily life. How did the Chrisley’s end up with a reality show in the first place? Was she making more on the show or social media? Is money a motivator? What was her time on Special Forces like?

Savannah reveals all that and so much more in another episode you can’t afford to miss!

Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor thinks rock bottom is required. Life as a model before social media, becoming a massive reality TV star with only $500 in his account, overcoming debt, and the numbers along the way!

This week, Jason is joined by reality TV personality, model, actor, and podcast host, Jax Taylor!

Many of you know Jax from his role on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, where he earned a recurring role after working as part of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant staff back in 2013. After eight seasons on the show, Jax and his now wife Brittany decided to leave the show and focus on their personal lives. Prior to life on reality TV, Jax spent many years traveling the world as a paid model and occasionally landing acting gigs on shows such as Desperate Housewives and Dexter. More recently, Jax joined a cast full of reality TV personalities on a new reality competition show, House of Villains, which aired this past fall on E! However, the biggest news with Jax is about his dramatic return to Vanderpump Rules for Season 11 in 2024.

Jax gives insight to why he changed his name, how he broke away from the midwestern career track, what modeling was like prior to social media, how he went from overdrafting his account in order to be in certain spaces, how he was going to leave LA when Lisa Vanderpump called with the idea for Vanderpump Rules, his advice for getting out of credit card debt, and when he felt like he was financially made it. Jax also reveals how the show impacted his mental health, how he felt about leaving the show, what made him want to come back, how he has generated revenue, what someone needs to be prepared for when coming to LA to work in entertainment, how the conversation started about coming back to reality TV, and why he blocks people. What was the most outrageous thing he purchased during his time on Vanderpump Rules? What is his secret to digging himself out of rock bottom? What job did he almost leave LA for?

Jax reveals all that and so much more in another episode you can’t afford to miss!

Nick Viall breaks down the numbers, millions, business and strategy behind the biggest podcast to come from Bachelor Nation. Media company, being in the spotlight and more.

This week, Jason is joined by one of Bachelor Nation’s most well-known personalities and podcast king, Nick Viall!

If you watch reality TV, then you’re probably seen Nick come across your TV screen over the last decade between appearances on The Bachelorette twice, Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelor, Dancing With The Stars, Special Forces, and the Masked Singer. However, Nick has leveraged his reality TV fame into numerous lucrative business endeavors, including establishing one of the top culture podcasts in the world. The Viall Files has over 150 million downloads in the last five years. Most recently, Nick announced that he has founded his own media company, Envy Media and audio first lifestyle company focused on pop culture and relationship themed shows.

Nick gives insight to how Special Forces differentiates from other reality shows, not focusing on what you cannot control, how he protects his mental health, the benefits of being in the public eye, the importance of having women voices involved with the podcast, how he landed the exclusive podcast with Gypsy Rose Blanchard, and how creating a comfortable environment for guests has been critical to the success of his shows.Nick also reveals what podcasts he considers competition, how Katie and Dana ended up being the first podcast he’s producing that he is not on, how the podcasting industry is changing, what he hopes is inspiring to others, why he reinvests in his businesses, what his relationship with Bachelor Nation is like, and comparing his time on Special Forces to other reality shows he has been on. When did he first work with a publicist?  Did he have to pay to get Gypsy Rose on the podcast? Who is his dream guest? What is he hoping to accomplish in 2024?

Nick reveals all that and so much more in another episode you can’t afford to miss!

Entertaining and educational

I love this podcast. I am almost always thoroughly entertained by the guests. And I ALWAYS learn something new or insightful about diff income revenues, money management, investments, etc. It is really a great resource for those trying to grow and expand careers and financials. Also, Jason is always so kind and a great host. Some guests I’d love to hear from - Jojo & Jordan, Arie & Lauren, Jason & Molly Mesnick (bachelor couples), Sara & Andy Lit (influencer), Ashley Darby or Giselle Bryant (RHOP), Nicole & Victor Arroyo (Big brother), Aesha Scott (Below deck Australia).

My favorite then, My favorite now

As a bachelor fan, I loved Jason on the show. BUT- I rarely even associate him with that show anymore. I tell everyone I know about THIS show, THIS pod. I currently work in Corporate America so I relate with Jason’s background and struggles with WLB every single day. I aspire to one day leave this grind and start my own grind. I take bits and pieces from each episode to pack my tool kit for the future and the day I get to leave. I would LOVE to hear an episode with Dave Ramsey because I think Jason has a more modern approach to finances while Dave is pretty old school while the end goals are the same. Financial independence. I would love to hear the two schools of thought go toe to toe.

Show about business to get business

3 stars for the curious Canadian-American-congrats and Happy Birthday!
I reserve 5 stars for podcasts with hosts who actually interact with their audience, and can't even give this one 4 stars because Jason claims to ask for our feedback and suggestions, but then doesn't even open DM's. Shows he just wants our input if it comes with a 5 star review, and that turned me off to actually following the show because instead of feeling a personal connection where I could join in on the conversation, it's just a guy trying to build his business with no actual interest in his followers. Still check in on the pod to see if there's a guest I'm interested in tho.
