    Finding Love Through Aloneness

    Finding Love Through Aloneness

When two souls, each rooted in self-love, come together, their union becomes a catalyst for change. Through the process of not just learning to tolerate aloneness with themselves, but actually getting to a place where they LOVE that aloneness, they end up establishing a deep connection with their authenticity. And when they finally come together, they realize that they recognize themselves in each other, mirroring the beauty and strength of their innermost selves, because they have raised themselves to a vibration of immensely deep self love, therefore calling in another human being who is at that same deep love vibration. And together, they are able to create big change.

The Neuroscience Behind Changing Limiting Beliefs

The Neuroscience Behind Changing Limiting Beliefs

Did you know there is actually a science behind why and how living intentionally works? It’s not just a woo woo tactic that you employ and it just magically works. When you start practicing intentional living, there are actual chemical transformations happening in your body.

When you hear me say things like “rewrite the story” or “let go of limiting beliefs and adopt new beliefs” or “create your ideal life”, I think it can tend to sound vague and abstract and maybe leave a lot of people wondering what all of that actually means and also wanting some more tangible action steps to take. I’m a big believer in not just having the “what to do” but also having the “why” and the “how”, because the why and the how are what enable us to believe in the what.

So that’s what I dive into in this episode with Bruce - the how and the why behind intentional living and the details of what is actually happening inside our bodies that cause the outward transformation that we end up experiencing.

We talk about a process that has been revolutionary in the world of neuroscience and that is the necessary component for anyone wanting to make lasting changes in their life, because these changes have to go deeper than the surface. They have to take place on a cellular level. And that’s what Bruce so eloquently describes in this episode.

But that’s not all! You, the listener, have a chance to sign up for Bruce’s 2024 “Change Your Story Challenge” and actually put into practice the things he describes in this episode! Mindfully Choosing Quality Ingredients

    Mindfully Choosing Quality Ingredients

I looked at the bag of black forbidden rice in my basket and smiled. I was buying a $14 bag of rice, as opposed to the $3 bags I used to buy, because of its quality, its health benefits, and all the creative ways I could use it. It would be a part of numerous meals for my family.

One of the main mindset shifts I’ve experienced that has changed the way I grocery shop is the awareness of how much I can justify spending on food and drinks during a night out and how easy it is to bypass the better ingredients in the grocery store because they’re “too expensive”.

Perspective: a $25 entree at a restaurant that will feed me once, maybe twice if the leftovers are good reheated, is justified, but a $14 bag of quality black rice that will contribute to 5 or 6 meals for my family of 3 is too much? I’ve never been a math expert, but that math doesn’t make sense, even to me!

So, how do we get to a place where quality, possibly more costly ingredients are the norm for us, without feeling shame around prioritizing them? There are actually several steps that can help get us there, and I walk you through them here.

In this episode, we are getting to the root of why it can be so hard to choose ingredients that are better for our health and the environment, and what does mindfulness have to do with it all?

    Happy New Year, With Intention

    Happy New Year, With Intention

Starting a new year with a deliberate intention (not New Year resolutions) and a clear vision of what you want your life to be is a powerful way to set yourself up for success and fulfillment. And you don't have to confine this process to just New Year's Eve but can actually begin it in the preceding months by reflecting and planning.

Intention setting can be a transformative practice, allowing you to align your actions with your values and aspirations. By consciously envisioning your ideal life and setting intentions for how you want to live, you're giving yourself a roadmap to follow.

Continuing this practice can involve regular reflection, adjustments, and taking actionable steps toward your goals. It's not just a one-time event but an ongoing process of self-discovery, growth, and manifestation.

How to Begin Taking Up Space Unapologetically

How to Begin Taking Up Space Unapologetically

Part of taking up a whole lotta f*****g space means occupying the space we physically inhabit…aka our bodies…without feeling the need to minimize or enlarge ourselves to fit into societal expectations or standards. I'm talking about the amount of energy we exert as women... but I bet there are some men out there who can relate too... the amount of energy we exert trying to fit in. And I mean literally “Fit In”...fit into clothes we want to wear and the image we think we must hold in order to be accepted.

It's about recognizing the value of our existence, taking up the space we naturally occupy, and being unapologetic about it. Whether it's physically, emotionally, or intellectually, allowing ourselves to take up space authentically is crucial for self-acceptance and personal empowerment. It's a way of asserting our presence and asserting our worthiness in the world.

In this episode, we discuss the process of awareness and healing that is necessary to begin dealing with our own wounds and insecurities that become what we project onto others. And once this healing work begins within us, then our perspective of others will change. We must first create the space for us to inhabit authentically, which will then enable us to allow this space for others as well.

    Authentic Beauty

    Authentic Beauty

In this episode, Heather, a holistic health coach, speaks candidly about what is involved in the process of choosing to live authentically. She describes "the breaking" that happens in this process and how when the breaking happens, the pieces scatter far and wide, creating chaos that feels scary to clean up, for fear of getting hurt on the pieces. Heather challenges the listener to give in to the breaking in order to get to the authentic beauty that lies beneath all the facades on the surface.
