In this fascinating Safe and Sound podcast episode, retirement expert and ardent martial artist Sean Sparkman interviews Daniel Leith, a martial arts instructor and entrepreneur. Daniel has been a Gracie Barra team member since 2015, building his martial arts career from his love of wrestling. After wrestling throughout middle school and high school, Dan joined the Marine Corps, where he was first introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
As he continued his Jiu Jitsu training, Dan quickly developed into one of the fasted growing and most sought after weight management and performance nutritionists in the world. Some of his recent clients include UFC Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier 2 time UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, UFC Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and Grammy-nominated recording artist Demi Lovato.
As a Marine Corps infantry veteran, Dan was a Bronze Star recipient with Combat “V”. In 2010 Dan was sent to instruct in Quantico VA at the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence. He spent his last three years of service teaching hand to hand combat to his fellow Marines.
