    EPISODE 1658: 3 Secrets To Change

    Today I share what works when it comes to creating change... This episode is a continuation of yesterday’s EPISODE 1657: Why I Don’t Set Goals. It’s a more detailed explanation of the 3 Secrets of why I don’t set goals, and what works when it comes to creating change.
    For me it began with wanting something different and new, while being tired (and done) with trying to use traditional goal-setting methods to create what I desired.
    Then one day I heard the words, conscious, grateful, and fearless in my heart.
    That day I made the decision to make these 3 words my FOCUS for the entire year.
    In that year I created massive results, incredible change, and experienced the desires of my life becoming my reality.
    Since that day I haven’t stopped being conscious, grateful, and fearless.
    I had discovered a new way to create change after making these discoveries.
    1. Goal-setting doesn’t work.
    If you desire incredible change, it’s time to get conscious about what you desire to change, and the commitments you’re making to it.
    Don’t set GOALS. Make COMMITMENTS.
    2. Change is natural, healthy, and easy.
    Does that sound crazy?
    Seriously, change isn’t hard. Perhaps it’s because you’re resisting change, or attempting to set goals time and time again, that’s making it seem hard.
    Chasing a carrot you never seem to catch, while running from a stick that’s chasing you…now that’s HARD.
    Running from your desires and dreams…that’s even harder!
    Instead, get your desires and dreams out in front of you.
    Begin to create the change you desire.
    When you get on board with change, it becomes easy.
    Now I didn’t say, it’s without work. However, work is creative energy.
    When you put your creative energy toward what you’re committed to and you’re “ALL IN”, and in an inspired, creative mode…it’s easy!
    You’re not the same person you once were. You’re changing every day.
    You’re either growing up or growing down.
    You’re either creating constructively or deconstructing. You get to decide.
    What are you going to put your energy on?
    The reality is, we were designed to grow, and change.
    That's why we're not still pooping in our pants, with someone else changing our diapers. Thank God.
    We’ve learned. We’ve grown. We started walking. We started talking.
    Change is natural. Resisting change is unnatural. 
    Change is growth.
    I believe people resist it because they had a bad experience with “goal-setting” in the past.
    It’s about creating, building, fully experiencing, and growth.
    Natural. Healthy. Easy.
    3. Disagreement causes distraction.
    A lot of times when it comes to creating the desires of our hearts, we say we don’t have TIME for it. We put it on the back burner of our lives.
    The more you say this, the less time you’ll have for it.
    When is the good day?
    When is the right time for you to go all in with your life?
    To fully commit and create the changes you say you desire?
    You say there’s no time or too many distractions…
    But if you get in AGREEMENT with the desires of your heart and fully commit to creating change the distractions go away because you’re no longer focused on them.
    You’re all in or you’re not.
    One sip at a time. One step at a time…fully AGREEING with the desires of your heart.
    These 3 Secrets can help set you free.
    Give up the goal-setting.
    Start committing to what you desire.
    Stop resisting change, and saying it’s hard.
    Get on board and change on your terms.
    Get in agreement with yourself, and your desires.

    Today’s episode will inspire you to create something NEW in your life. Are you tired of setting goals, but NOT reaching them? If you’ve ever felt “beat up” by traditional goal-setting, today’s the day to set yourself free and get results WITHOUT setting goals. Life’s about living the desires of your heart, and seeing your dreams become your reality. Not GOAL-SETTING.
    Are you living your dreams?
    Do you know what you desire?
    Perhaps it’s NOT another GOAL that you need, but to become:
    1. Conscious.
    2. Grateful.
    3. Fearless.
    It’s time to get conscious about what you desire to create.
    Commit to change. Grow. Expand.
    It's about becoming what you desire to be and become.
    This creates inspired creativity. And creates RESULTS.
    Stop beating yourself up with a strategy that doesn’t work.
    If you desire to create something NEW, you must try…actually, do more than TRY…DO.
    Do something NEW.

    EPISODE 1656: When Good Doesn’t Feel Good — Great Redefined

    Today I share a personal story about a recent podcast rating that I received. What do you do when good doesn’t feel good? How do we redefine great?
    It's about redefining GOOD and great. Good is part of great.
    So how do you go from good to great?
    Human nature has this way of making us focus on the one “good” versus all the great. Why is that?
    Do you catch yourself doing this often in your own life?
    When it's good, does it have to be great?
    What would make it great?
    We look at our lives, and oftentimes forget to be grateful for the great because we’re focusing on the good.
    OR we forget to be grateful for the good because we're comparing it to GREAT (or our definition of what we think GREAT "should be.")
    TRUTH is what makes "GREAT."
    Feedback is good, but remember it’s only FEEDBACK.
    Look at what you desire, and clearly define (redefine) what would make it great for you.
    Let’s not forget the 5-Star experiences because we’re focusing on the 4-Star ones, nor overlook the 4-Star ones because we're comparing them to others.
    Does better make BEST? Does it make GREAT?
    Nope.
    Knowing the TRUTH does.
    It’s what allows us to live in freedom. And freedom is both good AND great!

    Today's episode is for you if you know you want something new, different, but aren’t exactly sure what you desire, or where to start. Maybe you’ve been through a break-up, divorce, death or some loss, and feel as though you’re starting over.
    Do you know you want something new, different, but aren’t exactly sure what you desire, or where to start? Maybe you’ve been through a break-up, divorce, death or some loss, and feel as though you’re starting over. Today's episode is for you.
    Today’s S.O.L. STORY is inspired by this time of year when people are reflecting on where they’ve come from, and where they’re going. Perhaps they’re not happy with where they are.
    Is this you?
    START WITH ONE.
    No matter what you desire in your life, you cannot get to where you desire to go without taking one step.
    You cannot build what you desire to build without taking one step.
    What do you do when you feel like you have to start picking up the pieces and putting them back together again?
    This is your time to decide what you’re going to build, and which pieces you’re going to use.
    You have to start with ONE piece.
    O.N.E. (You know how much I love a great acronym.)
    O: Own it.
    Take responsibility.
    It’s your ability to respond.
    If you don’t own it, you won’t be able to do something with it.
    Instead you’ll get caught in blame, shame, guilt, and judgement.
    You’ll waste a lot of time, and keep yourself from starting.
    Own the opportunities.
    See where the doors are open.
    Recognize it.
    N: Now.
    Look at where you are exactly in this moment that you are.
    Right here, and now.
    If you want to get somewhere, you have to start NOW, HERE, or you’ll get NOWHERE.
    Start where you are. Or you won’t start.
    Next.
    What now. Then what next?
    Take that next step.
    E: Engage.
    Fully engage.
    Get down on your knee, and ask yourself to commit to YOU.
    Commit to yourself. Commit to the plan.
    Commit to your now…your next, your opportunity and fully OWNING IT.
    When you own it, you have to work with.
    You have a place to stand.
    You have a place to live while you’re loving your life and your life’s work well.
    I know, this may seem like it sounds way too simple.
    The most profound things in life are the simplest.
    The last thing you need is a complicated plan.
    Keep It Simple S.O.L. Sister.
    K.I.S.S. yourself today.
    One moment. One minute. One plan. One sip at a time. One day at a time.

    Today I'm going to reveal the hidden causes of the fear of being misunderstood, as well as worrying about what others think about you.
    If you've ever felt frequently misunderstood or worried what others were going to think of you, this is for you.
    The first two questions you must ask yourself are these:
    1. Do you understand yourself?
    2. Do YOU care about what YOU think and feel about YOU?
    It's simple.
    What stands behind your fear of what others think about you, and/or your fear of being misunderstood is this:
    1. You don’t fully understand yourself.
    2. You don’t care about what YOU think and feel enough to tell and live in the truth.
    If you don’t understand yourself and you’re not clear about who you are, what you do, and why you do it…others won’t be understand you either.
    Like I said, it's that simple.
    So what can you do about it?
    Start today by taking a SACRED S.O.L. STEP in the direction of what you desire.

Love Dr. Shannon and her inspiration for life

Dr. Shannon is such an empowering inspirational woman. Wether your having a good day or a bad day you can listen to her and feel good!
