Going all in or having safe foods? Bulimia & Binge Eating Recovery

Going all in or having safe foods? Bulimia & Binge Eating Recovery

All in works for some people.
Having “bridge” safe foods works for others.
Sometimes it’s a combo of both.
Today’s podcast episode covers what I did, what I see people do, and ideas that aren’t one or the other.
    In short - I had bridge-safety foods I ate daily that I knew I wouldn’t binge on.
I didn’t keep binge foods in the house like bags of chips, cereal, or large tubs of ice cream.
This allowed me to build trust and abundance with food which eventually allowed me to have more of these more “dangerous” foods in my life without binging over time.
The caveat: I was no longer at the stage where I was binging on whatever was in the house.
You know that phase of binging where it doesn’t matter what the food is, you’ll binge on anything even if it’s raw chia seeds and dried oats (not that I know from experience 👀) - yes I was no longer there.
If you are in that stage I also address that in the episode.

30 Day Journal Challenge | What Happens When You Journal Daily

30 Day Journal Challenge | What Happens When You Journal Daily

Why I’m journalling for 30 days & filming it all ⬇️ [Click here to see more]
Keeping my mind clear - think of journalling like decluttering your mind. It helps you take all the junk out, sort it, and keep only what’s important.
Staying focused - you set a goal and you feel good until 2.5 seconds later a distraction comes up and you’re sorting geese small to big instead working towards that goal that was far more important. Journalling keeps you on task.
Presence - taking 10 minutes to sit down and write feels like you are slowing down time. It centers you to what’s actually happening around you in that very moment. And you capture it. The more I journal the more I feel like a kid again. Time doesn’t seem to move as fast.
Discovering things about myself and teaching others in the process - I have some big dreams that scare me a bit. A 30 day journal challenge will help me get closer to those dreams and help people in the journey by showing them the exact process I use to journal, stay focused, and overcome challenges.
To join on my instagram it’s only .99. All you need to do is go to my page here, click the subscription tab, and join. Then tune in at 8 am MT everyday to journal with me live or schedule time to watch the replay later.

Get Your Eating Disorders In Check

This show is a step-by-step guide to learn how to lose weight without crash diets and other damaging methods. Jacqueline Davis is a real-life example of a person who has lived with eating challenges and eventually overcame them. Her story is compelling. I highly recommended this show if you want to practice healthy eating.

Monetizing Bulimia?!

If you have an eating disorder and are reading this, please seek professional help from a qualified, educated source. This is predatory marketing, using sales pages and funnels to make money off of people suffering from Bulimia - a life threatening mental illness. There’s not even a caveat on her limitations as a “coach” encouraging people to seek medical intervention in the case that they’re experiencing something outside the scope of what she’s qualified to even speak on. There’s no acknowledgment of trauma, other underlying causes of eating disorders, while also haphazardly addressing suicidal ideation with no trigger warnings.

Preying on vulnerable, mentally ill people seeking help, by instead encouraging them to pay an insta-coach in the online course space? Frickin mind blowing. The stigma surrounding mental health makes seeking out a “coach” seem so much more palatable and less shameful. But this is dangerous, irresponsible and predatory marketing. PLEASE seek qualified professional help before resorting to a self-proclaimed eating disorder coach.
Wishing you so much strength and healing xo
