Your statements on the current EU budget crisis, calling the stance to override the veto from Hungary and Poland an autocratic move being no better than the Soviet Union, is complete rubbish. Trying to paint a propagandistic image that is waaaay overdone. Fair point to criticize whether overriding a veto which is part of the EUs decision making is undermining the democracy, but comparing that to the Soviet Union who invaded countries and forced the political will by military power onto other countries? Clearly not the same as a union where the members come together voluntarily. The rule of democratic law is part of the eu treaty. If member countries are violating that, there needs to be better check and balance to ensure we uphold the basic values of that community. If Poland and Hungary don’t want to oblige and have changed their mind regarding the basic values of the EU, they are free to leave and no one is gonna bat an eye. Shame on you for trying to put false statements out in your podcast misinforming and opinioneering your audience.
