Ever heard the advice to trust your gut? One of my goals this year is actually to get better at trusting my gut. That might however be a really bad idea, at least according to Dr. Gleb Tsipursky.

He is an expert in behavioral science and the biases we as humans make. This expertise made him write the book “Never Go with Your Gut: How Pioneering Leaders Make the Best Decisions and Avoid Business Disasters (Avoid Terrible Advice, Cognitive Biases, and Poor Decisions).” It goes against a lot of common beliefs and advice about trusting your gut and going with what feels right.

This interview goes into why it can be dangerous to follow your gut and how you can use the knowledge from behavioral science to make better decisions in your life. Dr. Gleb Tsipursky also provides a very concrete model on how to make a good decision.
