On March 25 – 26, 2011, the Yale PA Program sponsored a Symposium, “Celebrating the Contributions of Physician Assistants to American Medicine” with several speakers and panels highlighting the achievements of Physician Assistants to the development of high level patience care in the U.S. and overseas. Speakers discussed past and future trends in the PA profession. Speakers included Fred Sadler, M.D. and Blair Sadler, J.D., original founders of the Yale PA Program, Patrick Killeen, PA-C, President of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Burdeen Camp PA-C ’73 and Richard Hall PA-C ’73 (first graduates of the Yale PA Program), Ruth Ballweg, MPA, PA-C and a Commissioner of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), andother distinguished leaders and educators in the PA field.
