Young Elizabeth: Becoming a Queen with Nicola Tallis (ep 185)
Before she was Gloriana, celebrating her victory over the Spanish Armada; before she was the Virgin Queen, revered in England and across Europe; before she was the longest reigning Tudor monarch, she was just young Elizabeth. Dr Nicola Tallis shares the journey of the young princess and how her early trials and turmoil prepared her to take the throne as the final, and some say greatest, Tudor.

Great fun
This is a fun podcast
Educating but not too serious
The host is definitely enthusiastic
Would recommend
Awful !! Wow!!
Another American crawing about uk history had to switch up off - listen to actual Uk history from a English person? This is crap- the person speaking is educating the host!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bit Cringe
Sounds like a schoolteacher reading her kids a story. If this podcast’s demographic is young children, then it will probably hit the spot. It’s certainly not for adults who have a serious interest in history.
