The Introverts Edge to Sales & Marketing, with Matthew Pollard
In this episode, Matthew shares his fascinating journey from initially dismissing online marketing to witnessing explosive growth in his email list after appearing on a podcast. He discovered the power of using social media on autopilot to attract clients globally and regretted not embracing virtual speaking earlier. As an introvert himself, Matthew emphasizes that introverts can excel in sales ( and most other things ) with practice, preparation, and a results-oriented mindset.
🔑 Key Takeaways from the Episode:
1️⃣ Sales is about serving clients and improving their lives:
Matthew emphasizes that sales is not about being pushy or manipulative. Rather, it's about helping clients solve their problems and making a positive difference in their lives. By approaching sales as a science experiment and focusing on data rather than emotions, introverted entrepreneurs can achieve success.
2️⃣ Building a sales process tailored to introverts' strengths:
Matthew provides a step-by-step process to help introverted service providers improve their sales performance. By treating sales as a system, introverts can develop their self-belief, practice their skills, and overcome any hesitations. With discipline and training, introverts can excel in sales and achieve rapid growth in their businesses.
3️⃣ Recognizing and communicating your unique value:
Understanding your own value and the value you bring to others is crucial. Matthew emphasizes the importance of internal reflection and storytelling to recognize and articulate your unique value proposition. By identifying your niche market and communicating your passion and mission, you can attract clients and differentiate yourself from the competition.
About Matthew Pollard
Matthew Pollard is responsible for five multi-million-dollar business success stories, all before the age of 30. His humble beginnings, the adversities he faced, and his epic rise to success show that anyone, with the right motivation and the right strategies, can achieve anything they set their mind to. Today, Forbes calls him “the real deal,” Global Gurus lists him as a Top 30 Sales Professional, Top Sales World Magazine named him a Top 50 Speaker, and BigSpeak lists him as an international Top 10 Sales Trainer. He’s also the bestselling author of The Introvert’s Edge book series, which has sold over 75,000 copies and been translated into 16 languages.

Customer Reviews
Bob is the man!
Love hearing from Bob, such a clever guy with amazing insights. Plus the guest list is unreal!
My go to podcast
I have listened to Bob now for just over a year, I haven’t missed an episode and have learned so much over the past 12 months. The guests are fantastic and the questions asked are first class to draw out the information the listener will want to hear.
Podcasts - late to the party
I’ve been meaning to listen to Bob’s podcasts for a while now; never quite being able to carve out the time because of one thing or another. I’ve been listening over the last few weeks on my early morning walks and without question, I have learned something. Today’s was Joseph Bojang (from over a year ago) talking about blockchain & crypto, yesterday was Richie Norton talking about purpose, and there are other guests, who’s names I might not remember, but their messages just made me think and question everything. Bravo Bob. Sorry I’m so late to the party!
