Today, we're going to dive into a new chapter in our science textbook. 오늘은 과학 교과서의 새로운 장을 살펴볼 거예요. Student 1: Hi, Mrs. Johnson! I didn't understand the last lesson. 안녕하세요, 존슨 선생님! Can you go over it again? 지난 수업을 이해하지 못했어요. 다시 설명해 주실 수 있나요? Teacher: Of course! I'll be happy to break it down for you. Jerry and Linda are talking about a situation at work. 제리와 린다가 직장 상황에 대해 이야기하고 있습니다. Jerry: I don't want to make waves here, but I don't think Kim is making a good financial decision for our company. 여기서 파장을 일으키고 싶지는 않지만, 킴이 우리 회사에 좋은 재정적 결정을 내리고 있는 것 같지 않아요. Linda: Oh, I don't know. Maybe you just don't see eye to eye? I think she's done a lot of research and knows what she's doing. She's generally quite good at making decisions. It's why they pay her the big bucks. 글쎄요. 서로 의견이 맞지 않는 걸까요? 그녀는 많은 연구를 해왔고 자신이 무엇을 하고 있는지 알고 있다고 생각해요. 그녀는 일반적으로 결정을 내리는 데 꽤 능숙합니다. 그래서 거액의 연봉을 받는 거죠. Jerry: Well, I understand why you'd think that. You were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, just like Kim, and have never really been short on cash. Anyway, it's some food for thought! 왜 그렇게 생각하는지 이해가 되네요. 당신도 킴처럼 입에 은수저를 물고 태어나서 현금이 부족했던 적이 없으니까요. 어쨌든 생각해 볼 만한 이야기입니다! Linda: To play the Devil’s advocate, making big decisions is second nature to her. She's great at it! 킴의 역할을 대변하자면 큰 결정을 내리는 것은 그녀에게 제2의 천성이에요. 정말 잘하죠! Jerry: Hmmm...okay. Let's agree to disagree. Jane : Did you? 그랬어? I wonder when will you grow out of your wheeling and dealing? 너 언제까지 그런 모습 (수단과 방법을 가리지 않는 모습)에서 벗어날래? Jessie: You insist on your being ungrateful! 너는 배은망덕한 짓을 고집하고 있네! I went out of my way to take care of you while you were sick! 나는 니가 아플 때 너를 돌봐주는 일까지 했잖아. Jane : Stop milking it for heaven’s sake! 그만 좀 우려먹어! How many time should I return this favor? 얼마나 더 갚아줘야 해?
