Cabinet of Curiosities: The Ghent Altarpiece
They call it the most stolen artwork in the world… Could this be true? Great interest has been generated throughout its six centuries of existence. It has been stolen, separated, almost burned, and to date is incomplete, although visible in the cathedral of Saint Bavo in Ghent.
