Fresh out of school or in a stable job for 5 years, there are things that I had to learn quickly to be a creative in the present day. Applying to design, art direction and creative jobs and positions, in general, is usually very difficult because we have a lot of competition to contend with.  There are a few things that you can do to really make yourself stand out.

Today we're talking portfolios. Keeping an updated portfolio is crucial to have. Whether its to display your work to get a job or just to keep one updated just in case something happens. Overall as you'll hear me repeat over and over again,  showcasing not only your work but your personality is something that I think is extremely important when creating a portfolio.
