Season 1

I’m about halfway through season 1. I ended up purchasing the bonus content after about 10 episodes, both instructors and the studentessa are fantastic. The content is fun and they build on what you’ve already learned, so you can start to put together questions and phrases logically. The pace and subject matter are practical, and again, they run through it in a fun way. I’ll stress that just like learning any other language, you really have to speak along with them, you can’t just listen to all the episodes. You may understand a fair bit, but to be able to really speak, you have to speak along with the instructors. All said, I’ve tried Duolingo as well, which is very different in its format, but Coffee Break works very well for me, I listen to it while I do my stupid cardio at the gym, on my commute, and when I walk my dog. The immersion and constantly listening helps a lot as well. Give it a shot, but really engage yourself.

I love this podcast!

Being half Italian meant that I would always feel left out in family gatherings, not being able to speak Italian...But this podcast has changed that and I’m forever thankful for finding you guys! I feel a little closer to my culture!

So great!

I am going on vacation for two weeks in Italy and wanted to brush up on my Italian that I barely learned when I studied in Rome 10 years ago. I probably know more Italian after 2 months than I did when I studied abroad there. I loved learning with Coffee Break! I’m about to go on my trip and can’t wait to practice!!
