    Shelley Jory-Leigh is a world record powerboat champion and sports presenter and national speed record breaker. Shelley discusses how she got into powerboat racing almost 30 years ago and worked her way up from smaller boats to compete internationally.
     
    Shelley also works as a presenter for Sky Sports, CBS America and hosts her own radio show on BBC radio. Despite facing challenges as a woman in a male-dominated sport, she became the first female to win several major races. Shelley also shares about a serious accident she had in 2010 and how it impacted her mentally and physically, though she continued racing for several more years. We focus on the adrenaline and thrill that Shelley gets from powerboat racing and how she has struggled to replace that rush since retiring from competition.
