    👉Article Belgian-British teenager Zara Rutherford wants to be the youngest woman to fly solo around the world. The 19-year-old left Kortrijk, Belgium, on August 18, in her Shark Ultralight single-engine airplane, flying west for what will be a nearly 60,000-kilometer journey. Her trip will take her across the Atlantic Ocean, then down the east coast of the US to South America. She'll then fly back up to Alaska and across to Russia, East and Central Asia, and then the Middle East before returning to Belgium on November 4. She'll also get breaks, including 70 planned stops and 19 rest days. She will fly over 52 countries. Currently, the youngest female pilot to fly solo around the world in a single-engine plane is Shaesta Waiz, who completed the trip in 2017 when she was 30. Travis Ludlow was 18 when he broke the record as the youngest male to make the trip in 2021. According to the International Society of Women Airline Pilots, only about 5% of airline pilots around the world are female, which Rutherford hopes can change.     👉Article The Alistrati Cave in northern Greece has a new tour guide, but probably not the kind you're used to. Persephone, a robot with a white body, black head and two glowing eyes has been welcoming visitors to the cave since mid-July. It takes visitors through the first 150 meters of the cave and is able to give its part of the tour in 33 languages, and talk with visitors in three languages. It can also answer 33 questions, but only in Greek. A human guide then takes visitors through the remaining 750 meters of the 3 million-year-old cave. Nikos Kartalis, the scientific director for the Alistrati cave, had the idea of creating the robot tour guide when he saw one on TV taking visitors around an art gallery. It was built by the National Technology and Research Foundation and cost $139,000. "People are enthusiastic, especially the children, and people who had visited in the past are coming back to see the robot guide," Kartalis told The Associated Press. "I should thank Persephone, our robot, she said very fine things," said Christos Tenis, a Greek visitor. "Of course, we had a flawless [human] guide, she explained many things. I'm very impressed."
