Episode 16 was my first listen. I thought with a female host that she might be a better ally to women and women’s current day issues. She interviewed Brian Howie, who clearly is rooted in harmful patriarcal and misogynistic norms of the past. For example, agreeing that the “me too” movement did harm to the dating experience is a wild take without mentioning how men have literally been predators and that space for decades. Chiding women for asking political beliefs early on is wild. Single ladies want to know how you voted because their rights are systematically being taken away. Forced birth is a real issue now. Women don’t need to lessen their expectations anymore, as suggested by the guest. We just don’t accept the bare minimum anymore.
