    99. What Is the True Meaning of Happiness in Life and Recovery?

In this week’s episode of In The Circle, we’re joined by John, who poses one of humanity’s most timeless questions: What is happiness?  In recovery, we often hear about being “happy, joyous, and free,” the ultimate state achieved through the transformative work of recovery. But what does that truly mean? John's question invites us to explore the essence of happiness and its distinction from contentment. This conversation sets the stage for an important teaching known as the Seven Steps to Happiness. This powerful framework begins and ends in unexpected places, guiding us toward a deeper understanding of joy and fulfillment. This teaching illuminates a pathway to happiness and a profound state of contentment, reminding us that these states are attainable through conscious choice.  Tommy Discusses: The road to happinessIs happiness the same thing as contentment? We’ll never find inner peace if we look to the external worldMeditation is the pathway to true contentment Would you like to be a guest on the In The Circle Podcast?
