Grief is Inevitable, Suffering is Optional with David Kessler and Liz Hernandez

Grief is Inevitable, Suffering is Optional with David Kessler and Liz Hernandez

Unless you are incapable of love (and that sounds rather bleak) then at some point in your life, you will experience a deep loss. And it’s easy to get stuck in the cycle of suffering that grief brings. But as grief expert David Kessler says in this episode: The pain of grief is inevitable. Suffering is optional.

Today's show features David in conversation with Liz Hernandez, an Emmy-nominated television personality and journalist. While her career was taking off, Liz was also dealing with the cognitive decline of her mother and a tenuous relationship. She began working with David who helped her find purpose in her pain.

This is part one in a two-part series on Grief featuring David Kessler. Commune recently launched a course with David called Help for the Hurting Heart. Join the course free for 5 days: https://www.onecommune.com/grief

Definitely pick and choose

I enjoy this podcast when there are topics I want to listen about. I subscribe to the newsletter and have done a few of the classes, but I do think that if you can’t do the classes during the free period that the prices are outrageous.

I definitely don’t listen to every episode though: I check in once every few weeks and see if there’s anything I wanna listen to, or I check the weekly newsletter and find out from there. I’m looking forward to more new topics!!

Commune is definitely a podcast the world needs right now.

I agree with some of the other reviewers: the ads are horrible, honestly. Mesh the ads with the content!!!

Addicted

When I first found Commune, and I don’t recall how, I thought it was another yoga New Age bla bla bla show and was barely interested but for Marianne teaching a free course on it. Slowly I have started listening to the podcasts while I finish up my Cob House and now I am thoroughly addicted. Jeff, thanks for the British comedy impresario and also the “Be Ready” one. Its gotta be good to make me laugh by myself and boy do I!!!
The crazy thing is that I had my 3 sons at home and had the exact same situation happen in which the midwife, stuck in traffic far away as my contractions started coming on and my husband was running around neurotically, finally arrived pulling her gloves on as she ran up the stairs when I was ready to push after a hot bath fast-forwarded the whole thing to full speed ahead.
You are quite hysterical in your writings and I can really relate to you and your family. We have much in common. And I adore all the interviews and talks. As a matter of fact...I wanna be interviewed by you one of these days!!! Thank you soooo much for being there for all of us!
Blessings

A very thoughtful host

It’s obvious to me that Jeff does his research. I’m a fan of what he’s sending out into the world!
