Hi! Hello! I am a goblin person who spends most of my time with my dog. You too? Amazing. I am an artist, poet, amateur gardener, survivor, capitalist butt-monkey, and a bit of a heretic. Lets talk about mental heath and healing, the artistic process, current reads, tarot, sexual autonomy, philosophy, or paganism.
One solitary person having a heart to heart with fellow goblin creature. Much love, Gemma (&Avery)

Episode 17 | Titrating Despair // Witch Trials P2
***TW: life-ending thoughts
Hello! Hi, how are you?
Today's episode is part 2 of the witch trials! Right on time- in the heart of the smack of the dab. Titration is a tool in somatic therapy for stepping in and out of a feeling/ experience in order to build inner trust. It comes into play in today's episode and the result may be a little different than expected! ;)
I think there's something for everyone in this one. And if you've been struggling with big sad lately, then there might be something here to lighten your load 3
On my website is the full source list. That includes a folder with the links to sound effects. They're all royalty free but artists credit other artists when we can!

Episode 16 | Everyone Has A Great, Big Boner for the Witch Trials
Oooooooo she's different! ;) Hi! I hope you enjoy today's episode even though the subject matter is not enjoyable. Women are extraordinary. Our resilience is unflagging despite centuries and millennia of oppression. If there's a women in your life (uterus optional) that you love, buy her a coffee. Tell her she is flaming goddess of unlimited potential. Or here's a thought- don't interrupt her. Affirm with your actions that her voice is valuable. 3
I appreciate you all. Thank you to my Patrons you're the best.
Email me your take! Or better yet, a listener story :)

Episode 15 | Unworthy gods
Hi, hello! How are you? Girly pop, hold onto you Apple iTunes because today we're talking shit about god. ⚡⚡⚡ Lets goooooo!
Sources:
⚡Edith Hamilton's Greek Mythology
⚡Mythos, Stephen Fry
⚡The Witch's Heart, Genevieve Gornechec
⚡Norse Mythology, Neil Gaiman
⚡Less, Andrew Sean Greer
⚡This is an example of the cat/ dog/ god thing in case you're not familiar. I heard it a lot growing up in church!
More info:
⚡Myth Tarot Love is a cool podcast combining classic Greek and Roman myth with tarot practice. You can gather that from the name, of course, but I really like the way they do it. And they pair myths/ cards very intentionally.
⚡Fun Zeus-repellent stickers
⚡My apologies to Neil Gaiman😂. You are very important!

Episode 14 | Thresholds and the Illusion of Permanence
Girl, the Barbie movie was so good. Hi! Hello, how are you? Have you ever been in an abandoned mall? Do you know the feeling you get at a bus stop or reststop in the dead of night? The smell of the wind on the first truely cool day of fall... It's happening baby. We are talking about liminal space!
Thresholds: The place or point of entering of begining. A boundary. A level, point, or value above which something is true or will take place and below which it is not or will not. The plank, stone, or piece of timber that lies under a door.
Sources:
The sources today are tricky because this is a topic I've studied from years from a variety of people, books, pods, movies, personal experience etc. And I drew mostly from my own knowledge. BUT that knowledge was given by sources that have blurred and overlapped in my mind. So instead of exact sources, this time I'm gonna include some links to more information about stuff.
More info about crossing planes: Bonfire Babble podcast episode
A couple artists who focus portray decay or liminality in a facinating way: Dusy Ray, Lauren Marx
Aleksandra Waliszewska in an artist who's work has a lot to do with the unknown and inspires SUPER intense liminal space vibes
Hecate (Daughters of Hecate book on women and magic in the ancient world)
Hecate (Thesis on her role in subversive women)
Haven't read those two yet ^ but they look really good.
Hoodoo (Haus of Hoodoo)
Irish Folklore 1
Irish Folklore 2
Schollarly articles on New-Neural-Nets
I recorded this in June. I reference pride a few times and it's August so that might be confusing. But pride is all year amiright? ;)

Episode 12 | In Defense of Sociopaths
Best bits since we've last talked.... I got a kitten!!! Her name is Hattie and Avery and I love her very much. Hattie is a black, sweet, chompy Aries. Currently, she is post dinner-pre zoomies. Avery keeps taking laps back to the bathroom (where Hattie's food bowl is) to see if the gate has magically disappeared. It has not. Avery just laid down in the closet and sighed-- so hard to be a bun. That's a pretty normal evening for us these days. Lots of cuddles and laughing and working at my desk on creative stuff. I feel like this blurb may give you a false impression of our home. It is, essentially, a closet but a very cute closet. The only furniture being a desk, a bed, and an easel; and really, what else do you need? It's more than enough for us. One recent project was making Hattie a cat tree. So I got a big piece of wood from the hardware store and then cut it into large lichen shapes. Then I painted them and hung them up. Now, she has vertical, mushroom-themed shelves to play on as a cat tree which is very fun.
Okay I think that's enough catching up. I hope to put out another episode by the end of the year! Thank you for being here, it's a real pleasure to make this podcast. I hope you enjoy the episode and I hope the wasps and spiders you encournter over the coming weeks are met with a lengthly pause while you decide whether or not it's really necesary to kill them.
Happy holidays! Gemma, Avery, &Hattie
