Beyond the buzz-word

“Trauma-informed” has become a buzzword, which can lead to so much misunderstanding around this concept and practice. Katie brings a beautiful blend of expertise and empathy as she digs into what trauma is, what trauma-informed means, and how we can all help create a trauma-informed future. I’m so grateful for her guidance in this space.

Being trauma-informed isn’t an option

As someone who works in the wellness space, the knowledge and tools that Katie shares are essential for us to continue to claim to hold brave spaces for our clients and even our personal relationships.

Listening to Katie reminds me that even being empathetic isn’t enough. We must embrace and become part of the trauma-informed future. It is non-negotiable if we are saying we do not want to cause harm or uphold racism and the patriarchy.
