Runner with difficulty walking after diagnosis of bone on bone knee OA to 15,000 steps in Scotland- Laura's story

Runner with difficulty walking after diagnosis of bone on bone knee OA to 15,000 steps in Scotland- Laura's story

Laura is a member of the signature membership, Adventurers for Life. She was a runner who started to develop knee pain which turned out to be severe osteoarthritis. She took up walking but then started to notice pain in the other knee, which was later diagnosed as bone on bone.

Fast forward to today where she returned from a trip to Scotland a few months ago with this win:

"My win is when I traveled to Scotland in July, I was able to walk at least 15,000 steps a day. I was walking on cobblestone and up and downstairs. I even attempted Arthur’s Seat. I only made it halfway, but I was so excited. 6 months ago, I won’t have been able to make it that far."

Now she has a trip to Thailand planned and is feeling strong. She is no longer limping and feels more confident with stairs.

    Hear her story.
