Amiel Handelsman on embodying the self-authoring mind in everyday conversations The Michael Ostrolenk Show

    • Health & Fitness

Welcome to “The Emergent Human where we explore Optimizing Health, Embodied Spirituality and Post Conventional Living. I am Michael Ostrolenk, a therapist, coach and educator and I am your host

One of the three pillars of the Emergent Human podcast is optimizing
health. Part of my own process in doing so is being a member of an
organization known as Lifeforce. I joined Lifeforce after reading the book “Life Force” by Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis in order to get the support I needed to take my health to the next level. I am happy to announce that Lifeforce is now a show sponsor. Lifeforce’s membership provides you with at-home diagnostics, access to functional medicine doctors, health coaches, advanced nutraceuticals, hormones, and peptides. Lifeforce creates a customized plan tailored to your goals and blood work results to help you optimize your health. Their diagnostic is one of the most affordable, convenient and comprehensive blood tests out there. If you’ve been looking for a more personalized approach to improve your health in the new year, check out Lifeforce at https://www.lifeforce.com/ and use code EMERGENTHUMAN15 for 15% off your first purchase.

I would like to welcome Amiel Handlesman on today show to discuss his work on embodying the self-authoring mind in everyday conversations.

Amiel helps leaders navigate complexity and grow as human beings. His clients use new conversation microhabits to make clear commitments, deliver what they promise, and do this with more ease. As a writer and speaker, Amiel frames complex challenges like democracy, climate change, diversity, and “race" as practice fields for self-authorship. He has written five books including Practice Greatness, Reimagining American Identity, and How to be an Anti-race Antiracist. His free online mini-course, Nine Ways to Make the Ask, helps you use the Enneagram to make skillful requests. Amiel holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. He lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan with his wife and two sons.
