Aquatic Exercise as a Complementary Training Modality w/ Irene Pluim-Mentz, PT The Wellness Paradox

    • Health & Fitness

Aquatic exercise may not be something that many fitness professionals think of immediately when they’re considering complementary training modalities for clients. However, as our guest in episode 81, Irene Pluim-Mentz, can attest this is a very viable and effective form of training for clients of all ages and ability levels.
As Irene will remind us in this conversation, don’t let the words aquatic exercise conjure up images of the “water aerobics” classes, as that is not what she’s referring to. Rather, the aquatic exercise we discuss in this episode is suitable for a wide spectrum of clients; from post-rehab and clients with joint issues, to fitness enthusiasts and athletes.
This episode will explore the principles of aquatic exercise and considerations for implementing into your clients’ programs. If you’re looking for a way to diversify your toolbox of exercise modalities as a fitness professional, Irene has some great insight for you in this episode.
