164. Identifying Your Secret Story and Dismantling the Victim Mentality with Mark England Awakening Aphrodite

    • Health & Fitness

What would your life be like if you could control your inner dialogue and live in full awareness of its messaging?

Carl Jung talks about how we all have a subconscious "secret story" that runs the background programming of our lives. This inner voice creates our experience of reality. Yet most of us are not even aware of it! Bringing this voice into the conscious plane is the KEY to understanding ourselves and making positive changes in our lives.

In today's episode, I sit down with my guest, Mark England who is a master at helping people identify their secret story, their true beliefs and the power of their words. Mark is a TEDx speaker and co-founder of Enlifted: a business that supports clients and coaches as they unlock limiting subconscious patterns and embrace their potential. He began his career as an elementary school teacher and now has 15 years of experience researching and speaking on the power of language.

In today's episode, Mark teaches us the definition of the victim mentality and its true nature as an acquired trait. Language is inherited - for better or for worse. You'll learn all about the three pillars of conflict language, the importance of writing down your inner dialogue and the extent to which breathing influences the way we inhabit our lives. Mark defines "atelephobia" for us and finishes with helpful tips on which words we should be using MORE of in our daily lives. Our conversation is all about creating space in your life and ultimately becoming an empowered and optimistic individual.

If you love learning about the power of language, I highly recommend Episode 72 featuring Nonviolent Communication expert Dr. Wayland Myers and Episode 69 with Laurel Arnica, the Metaphysical Mother Goose.
