Sleep in Heavenly Peace Beds for kids - Luke Michelson - 164

Luke shares the journey from that first bed build with his church youth group to leading an international movement powered by volunteers, local chapters, and companies eager to make a difference. More than just building beds, they are a community working together to restore dignity, comfort, and hope, one child at a time. If you've ever wondered how a single act of kindness can create a wave of positive change for so many, Luke's conversation will beautifully demonstrate this. Luke Mickelson transformed a simple family project into Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an international organization that has provided over 300,000 beds to children who were previously sleeping on floors. What began as a bunk bed built with Boy Scouts in his Idaho garage has evolved into over 400 chapters across four countries, addressing the hidden crisis of "child bedlessness" that affects approximately 3% of children in every community. Let's enjoy his story.  Returning the Favor with Mike RoweCNN HeroesCNN Heroes All-Star TributeNBC Nightly News with Lester HoltThe NBC TODAY ShowHallmark Home and Family ShowStrahan, Sara and Keke –GMASend BEHAS a text. The Mindful Swimmer’s Journey Beyond the Physical - Cori Myka 163

Apparently, learning to swim as an adult isn’t just about technique—it’s about healing your relationship with water and with yourself. In this episode, mindful swim coach Cori Myka shares her powerful journey from self-taught swimmer to transformational guide. She explains why traditional swim lessons often fail adults and how fear, judgment, and past experiences influence our ability to learn. Cori is the founder of Calm Within Adult Swim, with over 25 years of experience in adult swim education. She specializes in helping adults overcome their fear of water through a unique blend of mental and physical training techniques. Through mindfulness, emotional awareness, and compassionate, step-by-step instruction, Cori helps adults rewrite their “swim story,” build trust in themselves, and find presence in the water. Her approach—80% mental, 20% physical—is about more than swimming; it’s about change, self-compassion, and discovery. In this episode, you'll learn: How Cori began teaching swimming at age 5, even before she had formal lessons herselfWhy traditional methods overlook the emotional barriers adults faceHow small, manageable steps help build trust and confidenceThe power of mindfulness in staying present and quieting self-judgmentWhy focusing on what feels good leads to successHow each of us carries a unique “swim story” that shapes our learningHow Cori now leads warm-water retreats and is launching a new podcast: Mindfulness in MotionIf you’re ready to silence your inner saboteur, embrace kindness, and create meaningful change—one small step at a time—this conversation is for you.

#cuatrovenezolano #asomayor #terceraedad #adultomayor #islademargarita  Para donar on cuatro etc, contacten: ASOMAYOR Send BEHAS a text. The Full Catastrophe - Finding Belonging After Repeated Loss - Casey Mulligan Walsh 161

What does it mean to truly belong? When Casey lost her father at 11, her mother at 12, and her brother at 20, she began a lifelong search for family. Through this journey, she realized that what she was truly seeking was a sense of belonging, which would shape everything that followed. I find this conversation about her new memoir, "The Full Catastrophe: All I Ever Wanted, Everything I Feared," to be deeply moving. Her story explores how grief can coexist with joy and how true belonging differs from merely fitting in. Casey Mulligan Walsh is an author nominated for Best of the Net. She is a founding editor of In a Flash literary magazine and serves as an ambassador for the Family Heart Foundation, which has impacted her family across generations. Casey lives in upstate New York with her husband, Kevin, and has more books than she can count. • Losing her entire family at a young age—father at 11, mother at 12, brother at 20 • The different ways we experience grief depending on our age and circumstances • Finding a spiritual foundation that provided peace amid profound loss • Discovering the difference between fitting in and true belonging • How writing clarified patterns and deeper meanings in her life experiences • The meaning behind the book title "The Full Catastrophe" is the poignant enormity of life's experiences • Writing as a way to feel truly seen and heard in an authentic community Casey's memoir "The Full Catastrophe: All I Ever Wanted, Everything I Feared" is available wherever books are sold.

Glenn Van Peski shares his journey from free-range kid to ultralight backpacking pioneer and accidental entrepreneur. A native Californian, his backpacking journey began when he led his son's Scout troop in their backpacking program. • Growing up as a "free-range kid" in Southern California before moving to Massachusetts after parents' divorce • Cycling 4,200 miles across America after high school graduation in 1976 • Finding civil engineering career through chance encounter • Learning to sew from his mother as a basic life skill • Starting Gossamer Gear by making ultralight backpacks for himself, then reluctantly for others • Keeping his day job as a civil engineer rather than relying on his gear company for income • Meeting Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey, who purchased majority stake in Gossamer Gear • Writing "Take Less, Do More" after years of encouragement from Mackey • Being influenced by his mother's generous spirit and motto "noblesse oblige" • Practicing contentment while maintaining curiosity about new possibilities • Donating all profits from his book to the Pacific Crest Trail Association To connect with Glen: https://www.glenvanpeski.com/ Send BEHAS a text.
