Don't put your cart before your horse in BJJ. Byron recently tried this and it does not make for great training.

Great BJJ podcast

Love listening to this show every week. Byron Joe and Gary are positive, funny, and knowledge seeking. Definitely has helped me tons over the first 3 yrs of BJJ. Thx gentlemen!

Still my favorite

I’ve been listening to y’all for over a year since back when I was a white belt and y’all were the only BJJ podcast on my subscribe list. Blue belt now, about 5 BJJ podcasts on my list and y’all are still at the top of the list. Heck Joe even taught me something about my own gym that I didn’t know! I train at great grappling with Professor Jeremy Arel, and I had no idea we had an app until Joe gave it a shout out a while back haha. I love the interviews as well as the talk amongst the 3 amigos. Thanks for being awesome all the time and occasionally ridiculous guys!

BJJ Brick Chokes and Jokes

Perfect mantra! I was hooked when Byron joked about Gary's obsession with grappling whenever he could in training: "Imagine Gary in the locker room (naked)... 'Hey, you wanna grapple??'..."

But seriously, I was looking for info about BJJ, and this podcast came up. I was so encouraged to actually try BJJ, after years of just thinking about it, but never acting until this year (Jan 2019). It helped me with so many tips for new people, and older people... (that is ME... new, zero experience, not in the best shape {unless you count 'round' as a shape}, Type 2 Diabetic, and 52), and always imprinting "Jiu Jitsu is for everyone"... If not from the hosts, the guests mention that a LOT. This podcast is the main reason I actually worked up the nerve to actually WALK INTO a gym to ask questions!

There is so much more I can comment on, but I will end with saying that listening to Byron and Gary (Joe, I am still listening to 2014... I will catch up!) is like listening to friends hanging out... Very easy going guys and zero arrogance at all. Thank you for being so relatable, and again, thank you for kick-starting my journey, I pray that I continue this BJJ journey. You guys help with that! Oss!
