The journey of choosing to be a spousal caregiver for the love of your life who is enduring a chronic illness or disability includes cycles of grief that start even before they are diagnosed and continue yearly. Many spousal caregivers need more support beyond what is available in generalized family caregiver groups. This podcast will help to provide, if nothing else, commiseration, but, will also seek to point out resources and experts who might provide help or comfort. This is from the perspective of a Christian wife, but husbands may relate some, too. ~ Donna @bride2caregiver

Season 1 Episode 1.1 - The Bride to Spousal Caregiver Podcast
Season 1 Episode 1.1 - In this episode I discussed a portion of my article, "The Intersectionality of Spousal Caregivers: How Pastors and Therapists Can Inform Themselves and Do Better In Supporting A Partial Widow". Resource recommendations are included so that pastors, therapists, Christian counselors, and community members who love these women-wives can learn and understand better and support them and their children better. My prayer is that as people understand us (spousal caregivers) better, they can serve our community better and prevent the children from falling through the current gaps that exist due to the lack of understanding. Also, the full article and more details are available on the blog at spousalcaregiver.org.
