At 4’11, this woman stands tall in her power to guide others through their healing journey.  Valerie is a childhood trauma and couples’ therapist that finds fulfillment through the therapeutic process leading to solace.  Valerie believes that connecting the mind and body alleviates hurt and pain, resulting in overall regulation and balance.
Valerie has a master’s in science in Social Work and has been practicing since 2003. She dedicated seven years to working with adolescents at a non-profit organization, eventually becoming a supervisor there for six years. Valerie has also been an adjunct social work lecturer at the university in between semesters.  Valerie decided to transition jobs and worked at a hospital for a few months, in which she quickly realized was not her cup of tea; however, this helped her with her next venture of becoming the first and only clinical therapist for a medical school.  Today, Valerie is the owner and lead therapist at Inner Solace Therapy, a private practice that offers telehealth in Texas.
