Mailbag: Can we trust Justin Fields to Succeed in the NFL?

I am in no way denying this kids talent. From a potential standpoint I think with his mobility accuracy and arm strength he has the talent to be one of the best quarterbacks we see at the next level. But I am skeptical of Ohio State QBs who put up big stats in their offense. I’m pretty sure their last 4 starters before him were BIG10 players of the year and have all been clunkers at the next level. When you recruit like Ohio State does and run the urban Meyer/ Ryan day offense, your quarterbacks are doing a lot of reacting and rarely have to go through their progressions because 2 star Purdue corners can’t keep up with their receivers. I also have seen some clips of Fields showing maturity issues at Georgia and OSU. Like I said not trying to knock Fields but with a sample size as big as we’ve seen from that school should there be cause for concern?

Tom and Barton arenas knowledgeable as they come. Please drop the Georgia shtick. It was funny, now it’s annoying.
